Relative Analgesia Course
This full day course for dentists, is presented in conjunction with ADASA and the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology (ASDA).

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
The objective of the course is to enable participants to become proficient and confident in the administration of Relative Analgesia in clinical practice. The courses are endorsed by the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology and provide an efficient introduction to dental Relative Analgesia. The courses are also an excellent refresher for dentists wishing to update their theoretical and practical skills in the delivery of Relative Analgesia. Participants will be given the opportunity to administer nitrous oxide-oxygen sedation to each other, and to experience for themselves the effects of RA in a safe environment.

Our presenter is Dr Greg MahoneyBDSc, PhD,MSc(Dent) GradDipClinDent, FADI,FPFA 



Dr Mahoney graduated from the University of Queensland in 1978 and after 2 years working in Mt Isa in private practice moved to Manly in Queensland into his own practice. He completed his Grad Dip Clin Dent in 1997 with the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology Prize and this was followed by a MSc (Dent) in 2001 on pain management and public health. At the University of Queensland, he completed his PhD in dental risk and public health in 2010.

Greg is the president of the Australian Society for Dental Anaesthesiology and has been President of the Australasian Military Medicine Association; the Asian Pacific Representative of the International Federation of Dental Anaesthesiology Societies; Secretary of the Section Defence Force Dental Services of the FDI. He is also currently Member of the Dental Board of Australia’s Conscious Sedation Working Group, and a panel member of both the Dental Board of Australia and the Qld Health Ombudsman. But most importantly, uses nitrous oxide/oxygen inhalation sedation on a regular basis in his private practice.

Course compliant with section 4 of DBA Guidelines on CPD.
Cost to attend:
ADASA member dentists - $990pp
Non members - $1540pp
Time: 9am - 5pm, registration available from 8.30am.
This course will offer approximately 6.5 CPD hours
This course is for dentists only.
