If you decide to relocate interstate, why not take your membership with you?  ADA offers you to transfer your membership from state to state within Australia at no additional cost to you.

Leave of Absence

Are you considering a leave from practice?  For members who  intends to or has left Australia or has taken maternity or paternity leave and is not working at all or is unable to work because of illness for a period exceeding 4 months but not exceeding 2 years.   ADA offers for you to place your membership on leave of absence.

This suspends your membership, so no access to media and resources, but allows you to return without the need to reapply for membership. If you wish to take up this opportunity download the form below, complete and return to ADA SA.

Change in Membership Category

Did you know that ADA and ADASA can offer a variety of different membership categories to suit your circumstances throughout your career? 

  • Dentist Full
    A dentist who, being registered as a dentist in Australia, is admitted in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws.
  • Dentist 14.8 hrs
    A dentist who works less than 770 hours per subscription year (14.8 hours per week), including any and all paid duties where being a registered dentist is a prerequisite.
  • Dentist Postgraduate (working)
    A dentist undertaking full-time postgraduate study leading to a formal degree or qualification and working more than 385 hours per subscription year (7.4 hours per week).
  • Dentist Unemployed
    A dentist who is currently unemployed as a dentist and is seeking employment as a dentist in Australia.
  • Dentist Over 70 plus 30
    A member who has attained the age of 70 years and has been an active member for not less than 30 years.
  • Dentist Parental Leave
    A dentist who is on unpaid parental leave for a period of no more than two years.
  • Student Postgraduate (non-working) A dentist who is a full-time graduate or undergraduate student proceeding to a formal higher degree or qualification related to dentistry and who is not engaged in paid dental employment exceeding 385 hours per subscription year (7.4 hours per week).
